Best SDET course in India in 2026: how to evaluate
There are roughly 40 SDET courses in India that claim to take you from manual to automation. Most are wrappers around the same Udemy syllabus. Here is the checklist I would use if I were buying one tomorrow.
1. Do they review your code?
Recorded videos are content, not training. A real program looks at your pull requests and tells you what is wrong with your design. Ask for a sample review before you join.
2. Is there a real framework on GitHub?
By the end of any serious SDET program you should have a portfolio repository that runs in CI with a clean test report. If the course's prior students cannot share theirs, you have your answer.
3. How many mock interviews are included?
Reps matter more than syllabus. Five mocks with senior SDETs is the floor. Ten is better. None is a deal breaker.
4. Are alumni placed at product companies?
Service companies will hire any tester. Product companies (Amazon, Microsoft, Razorpay, Flipkart, etc.) will only hire SDETs with framework chops. The alumni mix tells you which one the program trains you for.
5. What is the refund policy?
Seven-day money back, no questions, is the industry standard for honest programs. Anything stricter is a tell.
